Bay windows come in different sizes and degrees. This video explains the different materials and styles that are typically used with bay windows. They are very similar to bow windows.

1. Bay Window Features

  • Bay windows come in different angles, meaning where the window joins the wall. The angles can range from 30 to 45 to 90 degrees. They also come in a bow type window style, giving a little different dimension with a 10 degree angle.

  • Bay windows come pre-assembled in one piece and are easy to install. You can get them in wood, vinyl and aluminum, and as casement or double hung.

2. Bay Window Applications

  • Bay windows are usually installed to accent a living room, family room, or dining room.
    • Occasionally, bay windows are installed in a bedroom where you can have certain access.
  • Bay windows add value as well as beauty to your home.
