Bow Window Features Video

Bay windows come in different sizes and degrees. This video explains the different materials and styles that are typically used with bay windows. They are very similar to bow windows.

1. What is a Bow Window?

  • A bow window is similar to a bay window but has a couple of differences.
    • A bow window gives you more of a rounded or dimensional shape.
    • A bow window has more panels than a bay window, and needs more room in order to get the effect you want-about eight to twelve feet.

2. Other Bow Window Features

  • A bow window gives you a more rounded effect than other windows as well, and has a ten inch seat.
  • The size of each panel of glass is the same in a bow window--approximately two feet.
    • A bow window has anywhere from three to ten panels.
